Request a ballot by mail






You can request a ballot no more than (90) days and no less than (7) days before an election.

To get an Absentee Request Form you may go to the State of TN website and follow the #2 tab.  request a mail ballot you can mail, fax or email the Hardeman County Election Commission the Tennessee Absentee Request Form or a document with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your social security number
  • Your date of birth
  • The address to mail the ballot outside the county, if you will be outside of the county during early voting and on election day
  • The election in which you wish to participate. If the election involves a primary, the political party in which you wish to participate.
  • Reason the you wish to vote absentee. If applicable, a copy of the your Commercial Drivers License (CDL) containing the CDL number or the Transportation Worker Identification Credential card must be included in your request.
  • Your signature 
A request that contains this information will be processed by the Hardeman County Election Commission and a ballot will be mailed to you.

If you have a print disability that prevents you from reading or marking a paper absentee by-mail ballot, please visit the State Election Website and notice the number ten (10) section. If you have further questions you may call our office.
